California Living

Well, a lot of people have been asking for a video of Deoge on the treadmill.  So, here it is.  I took this video a couple of weeks ago, but this is his normal routine.  We open the garage door, Deoge runs to the treadmill and hops on and then waits for us to turn it on.  He runs every morning at 5-6 mph for 20-30 minutes.  This only takes a little bit of his energy away.

We finally made some time to get the dogs out of the house.  The have been going crazy lately, since we really haven't been able to take them on all their walks.  But finally we made it to the Huntington Beach Dog Beach so the could run and play in the ocean and with other dogs.  It was a good time for the 20-30 minutes that we stayed there.  It was incredibly windy and Connor didn't like it very much and he basically screamed the whole time we were there.  But the dogs were able to play fetch and Deoge had enough time to pee on someone's cooler that was there.  We ignored him and pretended he wasn't our dog when he did that.  How embarassing, but that is totally Deoge.  After all that the dog's stunk to high heaven and the needed baths, so I spent over an hours giving them baths on Monday morning.  Now they smell good.

Cali and Deoge are finally getting a little more familiarized with Connor since we brought him home.  Deoge is all over him trying to figure out what Connor is and always sniffing him and he is always the first one in the room if Connor starts crying.  I think Deoge is a little depressed since he's not Amanda's little attention hog anymore, but she still loves you Deoge.

Cali, on the other hand, could really care less.  As I sit here and type this, Cali is passed out on our bed, using one of our pillows of course, and snoring.  Nothing bothers her.  The first day she sniffed him and checked him out, but now she just goes about here usual routine of sleeping.  What a life.

November 2006,

I can't remember the day that we went, but we took the dogs on a walk over to Yorba Regional Park, which is just about a mile or so away from the new house.  There's a bunch of lakes, walking trails, and picnic tables there, but the main thing that they were interested in were the ducks.  Man, I wish I could let them go and chase'em.  Anyway, we strolled around the park for awhile and snapped some picks by the lake.  Pictures are a little dark, sorry!
